About your role: 

We’re looking for a creative thinker with excellent writing and research skills to help us elevate that work as our part-time, in-house copywriter. As a member of the creative team, our copywriter will write and edit copy for a variety of projects (including website, email, social media, video, and paid ads), working closely with the marketing team to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging. The most successful copywriter will be a quick learner with a versatile writing style who is able to create engaging content for two different brand voices.

Here’s what you'll be doing:

  • Research and understand the brand voice and needs of the FTLO and Sojrn target audiences

  • Develop and produce creative concepts through execution for two unique brand voices

  • Write original copy and edit content for a range of corporate marketing and communications materials - including, but not limited to, email, website, paid ads, video, social media content, etc

  • Edit and proof work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs

  • Collaborate with the marketing team from concept development to delivery of final project

  • Drive brand consistency across all company communications

  • Develop and implement brand guidelines for FTLO and Sojrn

  • Stay current on trends and competitors within the editorial sphere

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment often requiring short turnaround times

  • Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action

  • Comfortably vary voice, style, and other characteristics required for each brand voice

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication and travel industry trends

  • Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging


  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, psychology, business or another applicable field

  • 3+ years years of professional copywriting experience with solid portfolio of work

  • Exceptional writing and research skill

  • Strong copywriting skills including editorial writing, social content, ads writing and accurate spelling required

  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines

  • Strong time management and organizational skills with a sense of priority and attention to detail required

  • Able to work well under pressure of meeting multiple deadlines, juggling multiple projects and competing priorities

  • Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides a plus

  • A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design a plus

  • Social media or content marketing experience a plus

  • B2C start-up experience a plus

  • Attitude of a team player with strong interpersonal skills

  • Enthusiast, creative, and sense of humor

  • A profound love of travel
