About your role:

We’re looking for a creative thinker with excellent design skills to help us elevate our branding to new heights as our part-time, in-house graphic designer. As a member of the creative team, our designer will conceptualize and develop content for a variety of projects (including website layouts, web graphics, email, social media, video, paid ads, and sales collateral), working closely with the marketing team to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop visual output. The most successful graphic designer will be a self-starter with a versatile design style who is able to create beautiful, inspiring, and engaging content for two travel brands – FTLO Travel & Sojrn. This role is complete remote but will need to be available during some US time zones.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce creative concepts through execution for FTLO and Sojrn

  • Research and conceptualize branding needs to connect with the target audiences 

  • Develop original content designs for a range of marketing and sales materials - including, but not limited to, email, web design, web graphics, paid ads, video, social media graphics, logo design, etc

  • Coordinate with the marketing and sales departments to confirm objectives, creative direction, and brand consistency

  • Collaborate with the marketing team from concept development to delivery of final projects

  • Continually raise the bar on creative design – developing fresh layouts that connect with and inspire the desired audience to drive action

  • Comfortably vary design concepts by style, imagery, and other branding characteristics for each brand 

  • Manage design revisions and approval of artwork and information accuracy

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design trends, tools/platforms, and travel industry trends

  • Manage organization and archive of all project artwork

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment often requiring short turnaround times

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic design

  • Advanced knowledge of Canva, Wix, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, and other graphic design software

  • Experience with HTML/CSS a plus

  • Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects

  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines

  • A self-starter who knows what needs to be done and operates with urgency, focus, and discipline

  • Strong time management and organizational skills with a sense of priority and attention to detail required

  • Able to work well under pressure of meeting multiple deadlines, juggling multiple projects and competing priorities

  • B2C start-up experience a plus

  • Attitude of a team player with strong interpersonal skills

  • Enthusiast, creative, and sense of humor

  • A profound love of travel
