About you:

About your role:

You’ll be joining a small team at the early stages of a company that helps people realize their travel dreams, whether that is working from a cafe in Paris or exploring the ancient ruins of Petra. Your role is a mix of admin, executive assistant, and odd jobs, with plenty of room for growth into other areas of the company.

The role is remote but requires having a home base in or near a major city on the East Coast.​

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Act as office manager, overseeing mail, general email inboxes, supplies, subscriptions, etc.

  • Keep company files organized and up to date

  • Maintain human resources files, licenses, and compliance documents in accordance with laws, regulations, and established standards

  • Draft emails and letters

  • Help Executive team with various projects

  • Assist in bookkeeping and expense tracking

  • Help with travel arrangements for team and trip leaders

  • Assist in planning team on-sites and events

  • Assist in hiring processes and new employee onboarding

  • Track merchandise inventory and ship out orders

  • Other duties as assigned

You have:

  • Must be entrepreneurial-minded with strong problem solving skills

  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized

  • Must have strong writing skills

  • Must love travel and the ethos behind FTLO and Sojrn

  • Must be comfortable with spreadsheets and basic business math

  • Track record of hitting deadlines and upholding a strict level of confidentiality

  • Start-up experience is preferred but not mandatory

  • Must possess enthusiasm, grit, social intelligence, and a sense of humor

Employment type: Full-time, with 90 day trial period

Salary: between $55k and $70k depending on experience

5 years work experience required, with at least 2 years experience in an admin, executive assistant or similar role. If applicable, in your CV please explain what you achieved and why you left the role for each job. 

The position may require some international travel.
