Along with the standard included accommodation options of a private one–bedroom apartment or a private room in a shared apartment, you can also make your own arrangements.

Each week, you’ll take part in location-specific curated activities ranging from history walks through iconic Roman ruins to day trip excursions to ancient port towns.

You’ll also participate in a number of experiential activities which will range from authentic cooking classes to olive oil experiences.

Your Chapter will include two Sojrn Hosts who foster a positive and strong group dynamic while ensuring you are able to fully immerse yourself in the local Roman culture.

Sojrn arranges the time and provides the space to connect with new friends and build a community in Rome.

Social events for Chaptermates to get together, including weekly meetups, a welcome meal, farewell dinner, and more.

Personal WiFi hotspots provide you with internet access wherever you are, whether you need to check in with work or not.

You’ll be given access to an online portal and receive pre-Chapter materials full of useful resources designed specifically for your Rome experience, group, and itinerary.

Airport pickup and Hosts on hand throughout day one ensure that the check-in process is smooth and hassle-free.

$8,299 | A private studio or one bedroom apartment that comes furnished with WiFi, a kitchenette, and space to work. If you sign up with another person with the intention of sharing Private Housing, one person should book the Private Housing option, and one person should book the No Housing option.

A week in the life

Please note: Chapter activities, events, excursions, and optionals are updated and refreshed throughout the year and subject to change based on the weather, the season, and Rome's many cultural celebrations.

The following is an example week.

Monday

Grab an espresso to get the day started, then leave your office abroad for a few hours and meet the group for an optional walk through Trajan’s Market—at nearly 2,000 years, it’s the world’s oldest shopping mall! That evening, get together for your first of many negronis in one of Rome’s classiest cocktail bars.

Tuesday

Drive back in time to Ostia Antica to check out Rome’s once great port town. At the Tiber’s mouth, the well-preserved ruins still stand from the strategic military and trade outpost. After a glimpse into Ancient Roman daily life, finish up work or head on a tour of the Vatican’s grand buildings.

Wednesday

Walk toward the Medieval cobblestone streets and trendy boutiques of Monti for cappuccino and sweet cornettos in Colazione Club. Get some work done after a leisurely morning, and then find your Chaptermates for a thrilling optional Vespa tour along Rome’s winding old streets for a fast-paced, local-led history tour.

Thursday

After morning work, join your Chaptermates on an optional food tour for pizza, homemade pasta, and risotto balls. If you’re feeling some tunes in the evening, head out for an unforgettable experience at the neoclassical Teatro Dell'Opera Di Roma—lavish, ornate, and timeless, this is a real Roman institution.

Friday

Let’s get cooking; this is Rome, after all! Grab a glass of Pinot Noir and then step into the kitchen to whip up your best creamy carbonara, tangy Amatriciana, or classic Cacio e Pepe. Don’t worry if you’ve never cooked like a Roman; you’ll have an expert local chef guiding you along the way.

Saturday & Sunday

Head for the hills with your Chaptermates and soak up Siena. Grab the train like a local, then hit an Etruscan Cave tasting to get the low-down on Tuscany's finest Chiantis. Spend your Sunday walking the city's old streets and check out the soaring marble columns and mosaic masterpieces of the Duomo.

GOOD TO KNOWS

Rome Chapter Notes

You should expect a moderate level of physical activity (mostly walking).

Elevators are not common in apartments in Rome.

Traffic can be a problem in Rome, so generally we recommend walking if that’s possible.

The city is full of very old uneven cobblestone streets which can be slippery (especially when wet). You should pack reliable walking shoes.
